27 May Practice Spotlight: Pediatrix
Due to stay-at-home orders and widespread anxiety from the pandemic, many pediatric practices saw a decline in both well visits and vaccination rates. Pediatrix, a practice with two offices located in Phoenix, Arizona, came up with a very creative way to entice their patients to stay up to date with care while making them feel safe.
Pediatrix is currently running a Summer Contest Giveaway, awarding one family from each of their locations with a $100 gift card. To enter this contest, their patients have to come in for a well check between April 1 and June 19th and share/like their social media post.
By running this contest, the practice is tackling several challenges that are prevalent for pediatric practices during these uncertain times.
Encouraging their patients to come in for well checks gives them the opportunity to confirm they’re up to date on vaccinations as well as to conduct developmental/behavioral screenings. Another benefit of this contest is having their patients market their practice by digital word of mouth – via social media platforms.
Pediatrix also understands the importance of communicating to their patients that they are making every effort for them to feel safe when they come into the office.
As stated on one of their recent facebook posts, “The Happy Valley staff wants everyone to know they are there and ready to take care of all our patient’s healthcare needs.” This was paired with a photo of their Happy Valley Staff dressed in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
We applaud this practice for putting their patients’ anxieties about coming into the office at ease while improving the health of their community.
Have you done something unique at your practice during the pandemic that you think other community members may find valuable, entertaining, or uplifting? If so, we’d love to hear from you and share your story with the community.
