28 May Steps for Becoming a COVID-19 Vaccinator
As the COVID-19 vaccine is rolled out to more primary practices, pediatricians are well positioned to provide this vaccine to their patients, families, and other members of their community. However, there are nuances with the COVID-19 vaccine that pediatricians should know.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has outlined the key steps, as well as a video series, to address the common questions about administering COVID-19 vaccine in pediatric practice settings.
The Video Series includes:
- The Basics: Becoming a COVID-19 Vaccinator – A high level overview of the key steps in administering COVID-19 vaccines.
- Fireside Chat: COVID Vaccination, Your Patients, and Your Community – An in depth, informal discussion between two pediatricians (Dr. Suzanne Berman, MD, FAAP from Plateau Pediatrics in TN and Dr. Sanand Menon, MD, FAAP from Reading Pediatrics in PA) who were early adopters in administering COVID-19 vaccine
- Webinar: Becoming a COVID-19 Vaccinator – Recording of webinar held on May 20, presented Dr. Suzanne Berman and Dr. Sanand Menon.
