COVID-19 Message from OP’s Chief Medical Director

To my colleagues and fellow pediatric practices immersed in COVID-19 chaos, I first wish to express OP’s gratitude for everything you are doing to care about and care for your practice teams and for the families of your community. These are difficult times, but in every disaster, there is a recovery phase. We will get through all of it together as a community that supports and helps each other.

Please join the robust conversations on our listservs and frequently check our Coronavirus resource page. We are all getting overwhelmed with changes we have to make in our personal and practice lives as well as handling the content that is coming at us daily. OP is dedicated to keeping information up to date and added to our Help Center as quickly as we can.

In the meantime, remember to take care of yourself. We can only be in a position to help each other if we remember to care of ourselves. Headspace and Ten Percent Happier are offering free mindfulness app subscriptions for healthcare professionals during these difficult times. You may find comfort in this blog post from my dear friend Dr. Mary Brandt.

Telehealth & Billing Release for COVID-19

OP released OP 20.0.15 early last week introducing a simple workflow for charting and billing Telehealth services. This version includes the proper Telehealth Place of Service 02 in the chart note and automatically adds the appropriate Telehealth modifier required by your payers onto Telehealth services.
