Even without penalties currently in place for non-compliance of the 21st Century Cures Act, patients may be able to log complaints and penalties/deterrents may be assessed when they are finalized.

It is your responsibility to have a documented policy and procedure for how you will receive requests for information from patients. Specifically, you want to document how fast and in what form patient requests will be delivered.
